The name “Tierra Del Sol” translates to land of the sun in English. The name is taken from the phrase, “tierra del sol y buen vino (land of sun and good wine)”, which is what the province of Mendoza is known as. Tierra Del Sol wines are high quality wines that are easy to drink, and are great everyday-drinking wines.
Pleae enjoy these wines as they do in Argentina, with friends and family.
and good wine ...
Tierra Del Sol wines come from Mendoza, which is the most important wine producing region in Argentina. The province of Mendoza produces more that 75% of Argentina’s wine. Mendoza is situated at the foot of the Andes mountain range. The vineyards fan out over hills and valleys at southern latitudes equivalent to the northern latitudes of the best vineyards of France, Italy, and the USA. Mendoza seems to have all that is needed to produce world-class wines. The soil and lie of the land are perfect. The vineyards enjoy the advantages of a high altitude climate, which is ecologically free of contamination. This guarantees a healthy fruit with little need of chemicals. The climate can be described as continental desert. The days are warm and luminous, and the nights cool and clear. Annual rainfall averages around 8 inches, and the arid soil is irrigated with crystal clear water from the Andes Mountains. Constant sunlight and little wind are other important factors. When the wind does blow, like the sporadic "Zonda", it's actually a good thing; dehumidifying the air and lessening the chance of disease.
