2006 Cabernet Sauvignon

Brilliant dark garnet color.  Aromas of tobacco, sweet red peppers and a touch of mint fill the nose while flavors of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, and pepper fill the mouth.  Lasting finish with sweet velvety tannins and a hint of coconut.

about the Cabernet Sauvignon grape...

Historically, this grape is associated with the grand Bordeaux wines, and is the most widely recognized red variety in the world. This is due to the particular adaptation of this vine in different wine-making regions throughout the world, without losing its true characteristics.

It produces a wine rich in tannin and color that blends well with less tannic varieties, such as Merlot or Cabernet Franc. When young, the wines are rough and hard. For this reason, it is beneficial for them to be aged in oak or in the bottle to tame their consistent structure.

In Argentina, this variety is grown from Salta to Río Negro and provides powerful wines, with pleasant aromas and notes that remind us of berries, green peppers, dark cherries and spices.
