2006 Torrontes
Bright, pale yellow color with silver hues. Subtle flavors of pineapple, quince, citrus and spice complement the fruity and floral aroma. Balanced fruit and acid make this wine enjoyable both as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to poultry, seafood, and spicy Asian dishes.

Although its origin is unknown , it is thought to come from the Mediterranean. This grape is related to the muscatels and at present is grown in the Iberian Peninsula and in Argentina. In Argentina, Torrontés is the signature white wine varietal.
Torrontés has a very particular aromatic intensity, where fruit such as peach and flowers such as rose or jasmine prevail. It it grown both in Salta and in Mendoza, and can be quite different from region to region.
The balance between its acidity and fruit can fool the consumer and present itself as a sweet wine, but it is not. This grape produces wines that are not soon forgotten.
